OPERATION AFTER ENGINE IS WARMED UP
1. Change engine oil and oil filter
2. Check / adjust valve clearance ( except for vehicles with auto-lash adjusters )
3. Check / Adjust basic ignition timing ( petrol powered vehicles )
4 Check basic ignition timing ( diesel powered vehicles )
5. Check / Adjust basic idling speed and CO concentration ( petrol powered vehicles )
6. Perform emission test.
7. Check the choke mechanism and linkage.
8. Check crankcase ventilation hoses ( petrol powered vehicles )
9. Check gas recirculating system ( petrol powered vehicles )
10. Check body condition for damages (underbody coating and body paint for corrosion damages)
11. Check cooling system for leaks
12. Check fuel system clamp for looseness and damages
OPERATIONS INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPONENT
13. Check V-belts for cracks, fraying wear and adjust tension
14. Check condition of distributor contact points
15. Check condition of distributor spark advancer
16. Replace contact points and condensers.
17. Check ignition cables for damages
18. Check vacuum pump oil hoses for damages ( diesel powered vehicles )
19. Check intake air & turbocharger oil hoses for damage ( vehicles with turbo-chargers )
20. Check operation of crankcase emission control system ( petrol powered vehicles )
21. Replace spark plugs every 20,000 kilometers.
22. Inspect condition of fuel injectors
23. Check radiator hoses for damages and proper connection.
24. Clean / check condition of throttle body
25. Replace air cleaner every 20,000 kilometers.
26. Check fluid level of in automatic transmission ( including transfer/refill )
27. Replace fuel filter every 20,000 kilometers
28. Check engine coolant condition and level
29. Check brake/clutch fluid and power steering fluid level and condition
30. Check / adjust brake pedal and clutch pedal for free play.
31. check top up batter electrolyte level and terminals for loose connections/corrosion; check batter clamps.
OPERATIONS UNDER THE VEHICLE
32. Check suspension system for looseness and damages.
33. Check suspension arm ball joints for play and dust covers for damages
34. Lubricate suspension arm, steering linkages and propeller shaft with grease fitting.
35. Check drive shaft boots for damages.
36. Check steering linkage for damages & loose connections ( including seals & boots )
37. Check gear oil level in manual transmission ( including transfer case )
38. Check gear oil level in front & rear axles.
39. Check exhaust pipe connection / installation for gas leakages or damages.
40. Tighten underchassis bolts / nuts.
41. Check / adjust parking brake stroke and play.
OPERATIONS OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE
42. Rotate tires
43. Check brake hoses & pipes for leakages.
44. Check and clean brake pads, shoe linings, discs, for wear, break and drums for wear and tear.
45. Check fuel hoses and pipes for leakages.
46. Check tire wear, tread depth, inflation pressure, center cap and tire valve cap
47. Check windshield wiper nozzle and wiper blades.
ELECTRICAL OPERATIONS
48. Check condition and function of all exterior lamps
49. Check condition and function of all interior lamps.
50. Check instrument panel lamp.
51. Check all instrument panel meters and gauges.
52. Check function of all power windows, power mirrors and power door locks.
53. Check front. and rear wipers in all ranges.
54. Check horn, observe if both high and low function equally.
55. Check power antenna.
56. Check warning buzzer.
